Have you had an email from Mailchimp about your popup forms being unpublished?

As I mentioned in a recent email, Mailchimp has launched a brilliant new pop-up feature (find out more in this recent video session they ran on them).

And that means that if you have popups on your website created in the older version, they will soon stop working.

Ironically the email that Mailchimp sent round earlier this week about it wasn’t segmented to only go to customers who actually have active Mailchimp popup forms running, so has caused a bit of panic.

So how do you know it if will affect you?

Firstly, just because you have a popup subscribe form on your website, it doesn’t necessarily mean it was created in Mailchimp, as there are various apps and plugins that might have been used.

To check if you have a Mailchimp popup running that will be affected by the new changes, you need to take the following 3 steps…

IF you you find a popup AND it is published (the green label) - then yes you DO need to do something and move over to the new style popup. If it’s not, then you have nothing to worry about.

And if you need help with the new popups, which are amazing and waaaay more powerful than the old-style ones but also a whole new kettle of fish to get your head around, get in touch.
